We asked: If gamescom were a game character or a superhero, how would he/she look like? What would his/her hidden super power be?
And you answered with all your creativity: We received over 430 submissions with characters ranging from fluffy superanimals, muscular fighters to manga superwomen. Our top-class jury consisting of Oskar Pannier, the Blitz, Nino Kerl, Maja Felicitas and Salome Soe Gschwind-Penski chose their Top 16.

In 2014 the worldwide biggest collection of video games was to be sold for 750,250 Dollar. The owner Michael Thomasson wanted to put his more than 11,000 video games up for auction on Ebay. 2,600 of these games were never opened by the owner and were still in their original packaging. No wonder, for collectors of video games it is by far not only about gaming.

In the world of video games, Bachir Boumaaza might be better known as Athene. The professional gamer achieved eight world records and runs a Youtube channel with over 700,000 subscribers together with his friends. Since this turned out to be a lucrative business, Boumaaza decided to get involved socially in return and is now as successful with this as in the digital world.

Let’s Plays are his great passion: Always the camera handy Let’s Player Dner gets his fans for quite a while now. With over 900,000 subscribers and over 130 million video views Dner was able to turn his hobby into a job. Currently his YouTube channel offers Let’s Plays of Minecraft, GTA Online and much more.
